Cherish Your Privacy or Don't Give Up the REAL Friends

by Don VanSyckel

There are so many new interesting items available today to help up enjoy life, expand our horizons, and help us accomplish things we need to do. The problem is the easier it is for us to do things, the easier it is for the crooks to do things.

It strokes our egos to have a lot of 'Friends' or followers but let's face it does anyone really need to know what I had for lunch or any of the other details for my life that I can't even remember tomorrow. Don't give up your real life friends. They're the ones who will bring you soup when you're sick or help you when you need any extra hand. On line friends might be a nice supplement but should never get in the way of real life friends.

Although there are exceptions, real life friends won't go on shopping sprees with your credit card. They won't empty your bank account. Agreed sometimes real life friends can be a pain but there's little in life that's worth while that doesn't have a cost.

Get out there, say "Merry Christmas" to people and enjoy the season. then when the wind blows and the snow flies cuddle up with your PC and enjoy your online friends. Everyone doesn't need to know that you're so glad to be getting away from the snow and going to Florida (house will be empty) or that you’re going to the movies tonight (again house will be empty).
