Emergency Shutdown
Sterling Heights Computer Club meets at Sterling Heights Community Center (SH Comm Ctr). We will meet if SH Comm Ctr is open and will not if SH Comm Ctr is closed. SH Comm Ctr closure is announced with other school closings on many local TV and radio stations. All members of SHCC have an email address. One of the SHCC officers will send an email to the addresses SHCC has on file alerting members to the event cancellation. If your email is broken, call an officer; don't leave a message, call another officer if you don't talk to someone live. It is your responsibility to keep the email address you have listed with SHCC current.
New SIGS
If people have other interests and would like to come together in a small informal group to discuss and share information and experiences about their common interest, please contact one of the officers. Some ideas for other SIG which have been suggested in the past are graphics, games, and digital photography.
Assistance - Publicity Flyers
The SHCC has been advertising to make people in the area aware of the club and what we are all about in hopes of building club membership. One way to get people to find out about us is to hang a flyer with tear-off phone numbers at the local retail stores like Meijers, Krogers, and anywhere where a bulletin board is available. If you are interested in helping out in this very important service please contact Publicity Coordinator.
Meeting Presenter Help
The officers invite people to volunteer to make a presentation. If there is some software you have been using and think others may be interested as well or there is a computer topic you would like to present to other members, please call or e-mail the Program Coordinator. Making presentations is not that difficult. The hour goes by before you know it and there is always enough material to cover in a software package that the hour is easy to fill. As always, if there is a topic you are interested in or a package you would like demonstrated, please see any of the officers. They are always interested in what the members would like to see. And don’t worry about being volunteered to make the presentation.
